So my partner Chrissy and I are going to a family wedding this weekend and of course our nails were something I have been coordinating all week!
On my nails I have Revlon's popular, #230. This colour is gorgeous! It's a sheer baby pink with silver glitter throughout. And because its such a sheer colour when you start to put the second coat on it gives a jelly effect to the previous glitters giving them a white colour. It's so unique and intriguing! I applied two thick coats but could have gotten away with three thinner ones to achieve full coverage.
Chrissy is wearing Sally Hansen's Xtreme wear nails in cherry red. As its name suggests its a cream cherry colour. Opaque in one coat but its pictured with two. The brush is really long due to the long bottle which I struggled with, but that was only because I've been using tiny bottles recently.
Have you tried these? What do you think?

Acid wash jean nails!
So I really wanted to repaint my nails today but my manicure from yesterday was still perfect so I couldn't bring myself to take it all off. Instead, I added 4 accent nails to spice it up a bit.
You've guys have probably already seen this tutorial around YouTube so I won't go into mass detail, but basically, to get acid wash jean nail all you need to do is:
Apply a top colour to your already dried manicure (in this picture: white)
Let that colour completely dry.
Get a cotton bud/q tip and dunk in nail polish remover (acetone free is fine)
Rub gently over dried nail to take off some of the top colour, being careful not to remove the bottom colour.
Cute right?!

NOTD- No Room for the Blues
This is OPIs 'no room for the blues'. Such a gorgeous vibrant colour for the spring and summer. I have it on my nails as you can see and my gf has it on her toes. Definitely very versatile.
Application wise when applying thinly this polish goes on with two coats. The first being quite streaky and the second having flawless coverage. Thickly applied you can definitely get away with one coat. I guess it depends on how you roll.
I am not sure if this is from a collection or not although I do know its been out for a while. Full size OPI polishes are quite pricey in AUS so this was picked up for me in duty free. Score!
I don't usually wear blues but what do you think? Do you have this vibrant shade?

NOTD- OPI's 'spotted the lizard'
This is on my nails at the moment. It's spotted the lizard from OPIs spiderman collection. In the bottle this one looks gold with a duocrome of blue/turquoise, but on the nail you definitely get more of a gold/olive look. Definitely a nice fall colour, although here in Aus were moving into spring haha.
This was opaque in two coats. I know others have had problems with this collection but I found the formula really workable and thin, so if you did need say 3 or 4 coats it wouldn't add to the thickness of you nail.
Gorgeous colour though right?

NOTD- OPI's 'Kiss me on my tulips'
I just painted my gf's nails with OPI's 'Kiss me on my tulips' and apart from my bad painting job it looks amazing. This is from the Holland collection released this year.
Two coats and the colour was nice and opaque. The blue under tones complimented her sun kissed skin amazingly. She looked dared and ready for summer straight after application.
I also have this on my toes at the moment and I just can't stop looking at them!
Once again excuse the messy application. I just can't handle the OPI formula with the mini brush.
Tell me what you think of this shade!

OPI's Number One Nemesis
Happy first post to me!
So this is OPI's Number One Nemesis. Sorry about the messy application but I only have the mini bottle of this one so I struggled a little without the OPI signature brush.
This application was 3 coats with a base and top and I'm really happy with how it turned out. No visible nail line and I really could have passed for two coats if I wasn't so pedantic about nail lines.
The formula is very thin so it's perfect for layering up that colour. The shimmer within it is a little of everything so it'd make a gorgeous night time colour!
I've also tried layering this as a top coat. Definitely was something I liked. Pity I didn't take a photo though.
